This year the Arab Fashion Council went glam once again with the first floating, yes I said floating, fashion week on the Titanic sized ship called the Queen Elizabeth 2! I didn’t have the luxurious feel though as the ship is 53 years old, but it was still a cool experience. The Opulence came when I arrived on the quarter deck to Arab Fashion Week. The For the Hunters set up was to the left followed by a few showcase pieces and then down the corridor to the right was the all white decorated runway. Now my original thought was sea sickness from the floating vessel but it didn’t move at all which was very comforting. Of course I arrived fashionable late mid show but it was all good. This gave me the opportunity to hang with my For the Hunters crew who had a drink station set up catered to your specific senses. The bartender was amazing and made my very own special cocktail with vodka, lemon peel, rose oil, and a little bit of fierceness.

Final thoughts
Well although I enjoyed the shows, many guests were wondering when big name brands will come to Arab Fashion Week such as Versace or Gucci or Balmain. With time I truly think they will come because they have a huge fan base here, it’s the luxury capital of the world! But each fashion designer pours their heart out in there collection, I know from experience and we are all big names! So keep being fabulous Arab Fashion Council, until the next time…
