Fashion | FW19 Fashion Week Melanin Model Haul

Yasssss it’s that time again! I scoured thousands of photos looking for all of my brothers and sisters who killed the runway during the fall/winter fashion week season! I have discovered some new designers, checked out the usual luxury designers, and seen some cray-cray designers that went totally genderless. Some did not hold back at all honey, literally!

All of these melaninated beauties showed up and showed out with that fierce model face that only WE can do. There are also some hot, sizzling bodies to look and some gorgeous fit goals to adore. And of course us thicker models slayed as ALWAYS! Side note, there should have been hella more of us thick girls IJS.

It begs the question, has the fashion week enterprise finally come to grips with inclusion and diversity or do they not have a say at all and its strictly the designers choice? Well our number 1 designer who chose melanin models is Valentino with a total of 42 LOOKS being worn by #blackgirlmagic. Some designers only featured 1 model, seriously? Now I did notice that there were several models used for multiple designers, like the same girls over and over again. Are they the most desired? Or are the melanin models slim in the industry? Many questions to answer and to ask, but for now, lets be proud of these models who SLAYED.

So anyway, let’s get started on the melanin model haul!
